Gang Green and Big Blue have very different practice styles and their two days of knocking helmets was bound to find a gray area.

That happened Wednesday, and that’s where to begin our Jets takeaways from Day 2 against the Giants.

1. Jamien Sherwood knocked Wan’Dale Robinson to the ground and that was the first hint that, despite the agreed-upon thud-tempo rules, there might be more physicality in this practice than is usually seen with the Giants.

Sure enough, a small fight broke out later when Will McDonald hit Tyrone Tracy Jr. to the ground. Greg Van Roten, a former Jet, and rookie Marcus Mbow took exception after the whistle, and it looked like Mbow punched McDonald while he was on the ground.
