Mic drop!

Kelly Ripa had a minor on-air mic malfunction on Live with Kelly and Mark on Tuesday, as she and Mark Consuelos were discussing last night’s Disney Service Awards, where three of Live‘s producers were celebrating career milestones at the company.

“Were you invited to that?” Ripa asked Consuelos.

Consuelos replied, “I was not.”

Ripa quipped, “Nor was I. But anyway, it’s a pretty big deal.”

Delores Spruell Jackson, who Ripa called n “O.G. of employees” at the daytime talk show, was honored for 45 years at the company, while Elyssa Shapiro and Lori Schulweis were honored for 30 years. Honorees receive a Jiminy Cricket trophy.

Consuelos asked Ripa, “You have that too, right?”

After Ripa confirmed, Consuelos noted that he’s “been working for the company for two and a half years” as a co-host on Live.

“And then seven years before that with the soap,” he said, referring to All My Children.

After calculating that he has “another 11 years” until he would be able to receive an award for 20 years at the company, Ripa teased, “You’re not gonna make it.”

Consuelos agreed with a chuckle that he’s “not gonna make it,” before noticing the movement of Ripa’s mic.

“Your mic fell,” he told Ripa, who asked, “Oh, my mic fell?”

As Ripa peeked down her dress to find it, Consuelos quipped, “Can I find it,” moving his hand over her stomach.

“Wait, hang on a second. Let me just reach down deep into the cleavage,” Ripa joked. “Here it is.”

Once Ripa located her mic, she and Consuelos took a moment to highlight Live EP Michael Gelman, who they will be presenting an award to tonight as he is inducted into the Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame.

Live with Kelly and Mark airs on weekdays. Check out their website for your local listings.
