WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page has revealed that he recently underwent a medical procedure after a health scare. The 69-year-old wrestling legend and fitness guru shared the news on his social media, using the experience as a cautionary tale for his followers.

Page, who is known for his incredible physical condition, explained that he went into Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) after a workout. He has since undergone a successful cardioversion procedure.

In his post, Page explained that the incident occurred while he was training. He admitted that he had not been wearing a heart monitor on that day, which he normally does.

“Last week, I went into AFib. I normally wear a heart monitor when training, but for some reason didn’t this day,” Page wrote. “I pushed myself too hard, felt ‘off’, dizzy, and heart racing… and well, here we are…”

He also revealed this is the second time in three years he has dealt with AFib, a condition where the upper chambers of the heart beat irregularly and rapidly. He stated he will undergo a cardio ablation procedure next month, which should resolve the issue.

DDP’s Warning

Diamond Dallas Page is more than just a wrestling legend; he is the creator of the globally successful DDP Yoga fitness program. The program, which combines yoga with dynamic resistance and calisthenics, has been credited with helping to save the lives and careers of several of his fellow wrestling legends, most notably Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Scott Hall.

Given his reputation as a health and wellness icon, Page used his own health scare as a teachable moment. “I will never not wear a heart monitor and/or @Apple watch when working out again,” he wrote. “If you are over 50 and or have a slightly enlarged heart, you should wear a heart monitor too!”

This past April, Page had the honor of inducting his close friend, Lex Luger, into the WWE Hall of Fame.
