Trump shares $5 billion Board of Peace update

[ad_1]

President Donald Trump has announced an upcoming meeting of members of his Board of Peace where he said he will reveal details of a $5 billion aid program in Gaza.

The U.S. President created the international body in January to resolve the war in Gaza between Israel and Hamas and has since said it will involve multiple executive boards focused on diplomacy, development and governance.

Writing on his social media platform, Truth Social on Sunday, Trump said the meeting will be held in Washington D.C. on February 19 and he will announce that member states have pledged more than $5 billion dollars towards humanitarian projects in Gaza.

“The Board of Peace will prove to be the most consequential International Body in History, and it is my honor to serve as its Chairman,” he wrote.

This is a developing story. More to follow.
