Trey Benson can be your fantasy football rose after thorny James Conner injury

Meet Fantasy Bachelor No. 1. He was the first Florida State player to record both an 80-yard touchdown rush and an 80-yard touchdown catch. He is also the first with three total 80-yard touchdowns. Call us kooky, but that makes it seem like he is capable of big plays.

In his rookie season last year at Arizona, his yards per carry and rushing success rate were right on par with starter James Conner. And in limited opportunities, he had better efficiency in the passing game.

This season, our Bachelor has been far better on the ground — with more yards (125 to 95) on fewer carries (21 to 32). Maybe we’re silly, but that sounds like someone who can step right into the primary role if Conner went down.

Bachelor No. 1 is from Greenville, Miss., and is a self-described “Mama’s boy.” Perhaps we’re cold, but that info means nothing to our fantasy interests.
