Prince William and Princess Kate being physically affectionate in public went viral on social media after a recent video the Princess of Wales posted online.
Kate released a new social media film talking about the healing power of nature to mark Mental Health Awareness week on May 12.
And one fan picked up on a sweet moment when Kate grabbed William by the shoulders along with another in which he put his hand on her hip affectionately.

A TikTok video combining the two clips was liked 10k times and viewed 103k times, having been posted with the message: “Still can’t believe these two have me making brf edits.”
The on screen caption read: “They’re torturing me, the way she squeezed his arms.”
What to Know
The first two clips in the TikTok video came from Kate’s “Mother Nature: Spring” video, released earlier in May.
“Over the past year, nature has been my sanctuary,” Kate said in the film. “It is through nature, that we can fully understand the true interconnectedness of all things, the importance of balance and the importance of renewal and resilience.
“Connecting to nature helps us to experience a deeper sense of ourselves, the world around us, and each other.”
The TikTok video went on to show William and Kate speaking to veterans at a concert to mark the 80th Anniversary of VE Day on Horse Guards Parade on May 8, 2025.
The onscreen caption read: “The man [a guest at the concert] wants a kiss from Catherine. Look at him [William] standing there like her bodyguard.”
The creator suggested William appeared “just a little stressed” before the video went on to show other clips of the couple putting a hand on each other’s backs.

What Happens Next
The palace have suggested Kate’s video was the first in a series celebrating the passing of the seasons.
This one was for Spring, so fans can look forward to a second in the months to come celebrating summer.
