NEW ORLEANS — Patrick Mahomes has been chasing greatness from the moment Andy Reid tapped him on the shoulder and handed him the keys to the Chiefs kingdom, and he has chased it so feverishly and so furiously that he already finds himself chasing down Tom Brady. 

Joe Montana was the GOAT for a while, but he stopped at four Super Bowl championships — and Tom Brady didn’t stop until he won seven. 

And now, with Brady out to pasture, Mahomes is driven to make threepeat history in Super Bowl 2025 and simultaneously fuel a new version of The Great GOAT Debate. 

Brady to my knowledge never threw a no-look pass. No one to my knowledge ever called him Houdini escaping the pocket and racing for first downs. Brady was never Must-Watch television.
