Madagascar president in hiding as Gen Z topples another government

The president of Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina, has fled the African nation to become the latest world leader ousted by Gen Z-driven unrest sweeping across the world.
Following demonstrations over living conditions in which army members joined protests, Rajoelina was evacuated from the country aboard a French Army CASA aircraft, followed a deal with French President Emmanuel Macron, Reuters reported, citing French media.
The protests started on September 25, sparked by water and power shortages, evolving into wider expressions of anger at corruption and poor governance.
The ousting of Rajoelina follows similar youth-led uprisings in Nepal and Bangladesh.
This is a developing story to be updated.
