I-35 closure: Lanes to close overnight near MLK Blvd

AUSTIN (KXAN)– On Tuesday, the Texas Department of Transportation said in a social media post it will close down the main lanes of Interstate 35 between 15th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard overnight.

According to TxDOT, the closure will affect northbound and southbound lanes of I-35 from 11 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday.

I-35 frontage road lanes will remain open Tuesday night, said TxDOT. This closure is part of the I-35 Capital Express Central project for the MLK segment. 

Drivers in the area should expect delays.
