Hays County deputy accused of public intoxication, placed on paid leave

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A Hays County Sheriff’s Office deputy was arrested after he was accused of public intoxication in Kyle on Tuesday, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. 

Victor Guajardo was arrested by the Kyle Police Department in the 100 block of Kennicott Drive and was charged with Public Intoxication, which is a Class C Misdemeanor, said the release.

The sheriff’s office said Guajardo was off duty at the time of the incident.

He was placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the internal investigation, the office said.
