Gersh Signs ‘Freakier Friday’s Sophia Hammons

EXCLUSIVE: Gersh has signed Sophia Hammons, one of the young stars of hit Disney sequel Freakier Friday, for representation.

In Freakier Friday, which has grossed over $143 million worldwide since its August 8 debut in theaters, Hammons shares the screen with Jamie Lee Curtis, Lindsay Lohan and Julia Butters. The actress plays the role of Lily Reyes, the soon-to-be stepdaughter of Lohan’s music producer Anna, who gets caught up in a body-swap fiasco of her own, 22 years after Anna magically changed places with her mother, Tess (Curtis), and got to live for a moment in her shoes.

Also recently seen starring opposite Zoe Saldana, Garrett Hedlund and Adria Arjona in the indie The Absence of Eden, Hammons was previously a series regular on Hulu/20th Television’s Up Here opposite Mae Whitman and Carlos Valdes. She appeared opposite Skyler Gisondo and Kara Hayward in the Netflix docu-drama The Social Dilemma, which premiered at Sundance Film Festival a few years ago, and also previously starred in a pair of Under Wraps films for Disney Channel, based on the teen mummy comedy from 1997.
