Donald Trump’s State Of The Union Address Drew 32.64 Million Viewers, Falling From Last Year & First Term

Donald Trump‘s State of the Union address drew an estimated 32.64 million viewers, falling 11% from last year and off from any of his addresses to Congress in his first term.
The final numbers from Nielsen showed that his biggest share of the audience were persons 55 and above, drawing 23.6 million. The speech drew 5.96 million viewers age 35-54, and 2.05 million viewers age 18-34.
The figures are from 15 different networks, and are an estimate over the 9:12 p.m. ET – 10:59 p.m time frame.
In 2025, when Trump delivered a speech to a joint session of Congress, he drew 36.63 million. His first speech to a joint session of Congress in his first term drew 47.74 million viewers.
Trump’s numbers are comparable to President Joe Biden’s final State of the Union address, in 2024, which drew 32.23 million viewers.
