Chocolate syrup recalled over hidden Viagra

A chocolate syrup sold by Lockout Supplements has been voluntarily recalled after it was found to contain an undeclared ingredient, typically found in Viagra, according to a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announcement, made on February 25, 2026. 

Recall Details

The FDA notice said that Lockout Supplements is recalling all lots of its Boner Bears-branded chocolate syrup because it found it contained the drug Sildenafil, which was not listed on the product’s ingredients label. 

Sildenafil is an active ingredient found in the FDA‑approved prescription drug Viagra. While the medication is FDA-approved, it must only be used under licensed medical supervision, because the FDA warns that it can lower blood pressure to “dangerous levels,” especially when taken with nitrates, which are commonly prescribed to people with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease. 

Lookout Supplements discovered the issue after it saw the chocolate syrup on the FDA-managed Sexual Enhancement and Energy Product Notifications list, which alerts and informs consumers about sexual enhancement, health, and energy products and supplements that may contain “dangerous” hidden ingredients. 

According to the FDA notice, the company said: “If a product that Lockout Supplements is offering ever appears on this notification page, it is immediately removed from our catalogue.” 

The recall covers all lots of the “Boner Bears Chocolate Syrup” distributed between January 1, 2025, and February 13, 2026.

Product Details 

The chocolate syrup is sold in brown, single-dose plastic tubes with black lids and is a product used for sexual enhancement. The products can be identified by UPC 000856683570.

The FDA notice confirms it was sold nationwide through the Lockout Supplements website: lockoutsupplements.com.

What Customers With the Recalled Product Should Do

Customers have been advised not to consume the syrup and to either return it or throw it away. 

If they’re experiencing any problems, such as high blood pressure, that could be related to consumption of the syrup, they should contact their physician or health care provider. 

They can also report any associated side effects or medical issues to the FDA’s Medwatch Adverse Event Reporting program—the agency’s system for collecting and monitoring reports of serious side effects, medication errors, and product quality problems involving FDA‑regulated products—online or via post or fax.

The FDA said Lockout Supplements has posted a notice on its website informing customers of the recall. It said the company will arrange for the return of the product and will give customers a full refund upon request.
