After going undrafted out of the University of North Carolina in 2024, Cormac Ryan has finally landed his first NBA contract.

According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Ryan has inked a two-way deal with Milwaukee. While it’s not a standard contract, it’s certainly a step in the right direction as he works on getting into the NBA full-time.

The journey to this moment has included a lot of movement for Ryann. After attending two schools in two states for high school, Ryan’s NCAA journey started at Stanford. He played one season for the Cardinal before moving to Notre Dame.

Ryan redshirted his second year, and spent the next three seasons playing for the Fighting Irish. In his final year at the collegiate level, Ryan played for UNC. In 36 games, he knocked down 35 percent of his threes and contributed 11.5 points per game.

After going undrafted, Ryan ended up with the Oklahoma City Thunder for their 2024 NBA Summer League squad. He was with the team during their preseason run, but he didn’t make the final roster.

Ryan joined the Thunder’s NBA G League affiliate, the OKC Blue. After spending the 2024-2025 NBA season with the Blue, Ryan joined the Bucks’ affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd.

Throughout the G League regular season, Ryan has started all 23 games. Seeing the court for 33.5 minutes per game, the undrafted prospect has knocked down 49 percent of his shots from the field and 44 percent of his threes.

Cormac Ryan has posted averages of 21.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. While it’s the G League he’s thriving at, Ryan is proving he can produce at a high level in a professional setting. Perhaps, he could get some burn on the main roster.

The Bucks are slated for an 8 PM ET tip against the Knicks on Friday. It’s unclear if Ryan will be available to make his debut or not.
