Austin ISD legal team calls allegations it facilitated anti-ICE walkouts 'misplaced'
Austin Independent School District’s top attorney is directly addressing allegations the school district sanctioned and planned student protests at more than a dozen of their campuses against the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Kenneth Walker, who leads the district’s legal team, called suggestions from the attorney general that the district somehow assisted students with walkouts “misplaced” and accused the state agency of singling the district out amid similar mass walkouts across the state.
