ACL Live's first 'Community Day' features music, activities

AUSTIN (KXAN) — This weekend, ACL Live will host its first-ever “Community Day,” offering a behind-the-scenes tour of the venue, live music, and plenty of family-friendly activities.

The event happens Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at ACL Live, 310 W. Willie Nelson Blvd.

Guests can perform on a giant 20-foot piano on the Moody Theater concert floor, create their own Willie Nelson braids and bandanas, and meet Clifford the Big Red Dog.

The recently launched ACL Live Tour experience takes fans inside the legendary “Austin City Limits” TV series, including access to the original ACL TV stage, where nearly 1,000 acts have performed.

“Being able to pay homage and celebrate the history of Austin City Limits where this all began, where this brand was created, is really important,” said ACL Live’s Kelly Mosser.

The event is free, but tickets are required. The venue said you can join the standby line near the venue box office for a day-of admission ticket.
