PHOENIX — Nolan McLean was not with Team USA when workouts began Monday because he was feeling under the weather, according to a source.

McLean stayed in Port St. Lucie with the Mets.

He was supposed to start an exhibition for the Americans on Wednesday against the Rockies, but now the U.S. will use a patchwork group to pitch that game.

The hope was that he would be well enough to start Wednesday for the Mets.
