Elaine Hendrix misses ‘DWTS’ Halloween Night after injury lands her in hospital

Elaine Hendrix has been hospitalized after suffering an injury while rehearsing for “Dancing With the Stars” Halloween Night.

The actress, 54, and her partner, Alan Bersten, had to miss the episode on Tuesday due to her injury. Hendrix shared a video on Instagram and said she injured her ribs while rehearsing for their performance set to “Defying Gravity” from “Wicked,” and then they “seized up.”

“I couldn’t move,” she said, lying on a hospital bed as she spoke to her fans.

Hendrix said the doctor advised her to rest for a day or two.

“Halloween is my favorite, and I’m devastated. 💔,” she captioned the video. “I was beyond excited to share what we had worked so hard on, although you’ll see a version of it. With your support, I’ll be back in the ballroom next week. I want nothing more.”

During Tuesday’s “DWTS” episode, Alfonso Ribeiro explained why Hendrix and Bersten were not present.

“She suffered an injury in rehearsal this morning,” he revealed. “Right now, she’s at the hospital being assessed.”
