There have been other additions, such as comedian Andrew Schultz being cast as Dan Hibiki, Hirooki Goto taking on the role of E. Honda and Vidyut Jammwal portraying Dhalsim.

The “Street Fighter” film is ensuring that the ensemble cast is perfect so that it can deliver a more accurate video game adaptation compared to the Jean-Claude Van Damme-led adaptation from the 1990s.

The original film was released in 1994 and starred Van Damme, Raúl Juliá, Kylie Minogue, and Ming-Na Wen.

Now, with 50 Cent taking on Balrog, he has dropped an epic training video in full costume.

“Work hard when they hardly working, and they will be surprised at the outcome. I hit a 🥷🏾he gonna see a white light and hear Jesus say come to me child. LOL Street Fighter coming soon • http://gunitbrands.com,” the post reads.

The video not only showcases 50 Cent getting into shape for the role, but he also sports the iconic Balrog haircut in the training session. Fans may have been a bit confused at the casting, but the rapper appears to look very similar to the character in the above first look.

There have not been many looks at costumes thus far, but 50 Cent chose to showcase what he will look like in the film.

Kitao Sakurai is set to direct the adaptation, and he has famously directed “Bad Trip.” Initially, horror directors Danny & Michael Philippou were leading the project, which has since changed hands to Sakurai.

“Street Fighter” has a release date of October 16, 2026, and is part of a new partnership struck between Legendary Pictures and Paramount.
