Yankees’ Aaron Boone Sends 3-Word Giancarlo Stanton Message Amid Surge

The New York Yankees have been through quite a roller coaster ride over the last few weeks, starting when superstar Aaron Judge went down with an elbow injury.
Judge’s injury only sparks up when he throws, so he’s been cleared to return as the team’s designated hitter, pushing Giancarlo Stanton back to the outfield.
Stanton has fit back into the outfield perfectly for the Yankees, though he doesn’t provide great defense.
But at the plate, Stanton has been one of the best hitters in the league this year. His OPS is near 1.000 on the year and it’s largely because of the offensive tear he’s been on over the last few weeks.

“He’s an animal,” Boone said when talking about Stanton after the slugger’s pinch-hit home run on Wednesday, via Yankees beat writer Gary Phillips.
The Yankees have needed every bit of Stanton’s power this season, especially as Judge has slumped a bit over the last few weeks.
Heading into Thursday, Stanton is slashing .432/.523/.1.027 with seven home runs in less than 40 at-bats this month. He’s tallied 17 RBIs on 16 hits with eight runs scored.
He’s raised his season slash line to .311/.389/.642 with an OPS of 1.031 with this recent surge.
It’s unclear if or when Judge will be able to play the outfield again in the Bronx. If he’s not able play the outfield again this season, Stanton will be forced to continue playing in the outfield as Judge holds down the designated hitter spot.
