Realtor leaves listing, then realizes who she has “kidnapped” by mistake
[ad_1]
A realtor has left the internet in hysterics after revealing the unexpected cargo she left a listing appointment with, and it’s certainly taught her an all-important life lesson.
McCall Hicken, a real estate agent in Utah, shared a hilarious video on TikTok (@mccallhicken) showing the glaring mistake she made while leaving a listing. At the time, she was “feeling really good” about how the appointment went, but she had no idea what she’d driven away with.
It was only when she got a few blocks away that Hicken was made aware of what truly happened. Indeed, she hadn’t driven away from the house alone, because as it turned out, the homeowner’s cat was perched on top of Hicken’s car.
The TikTok video shows Hicken driving with the black cat that she had “accidentally kidnapped” sitting on top of her vehicle. Internet users can’t get enough of the mix‑up, leading the video to go viral with over 1.1 million views and 203,400 likes on TikTok at the time of writing.

Newsweek has contacted Hicken via TikTok for comment. We could not verify the details of the video.
Hicken returned the cat to its home as soon as she realized what had happened. Needless to say, this taught her a very important lesson to always “check the roof before leaving listing appointments.”
According to veterinary experts, cats instinctively seek elevated spaces because height offers both safety and surveillance. PetMD explains that cats, as both predator and prey species, use higher vantage points to observe their surroundings and avoid potential threats, a behavior rooted in their wild ancestry. From elevated spots, they can monitor movement below without being approached unnoticed.
Similarly, feline‑behavior specialists note that height equals security for many cats—an elevated place allows them to feel in control of their territory while reducing stress from household commotion or unexpected noise.
Hicken will have left many listing appointments in her time, but none more memorable than this one.
Since she shared the footage of the cat enjoying the joyride in January, the TikTok clip has amassed over 1,900 comments already. Many people were desperate to find out more about the ordeal, including how far Hicken got before finally realizing her mistake, while others simply lauded the cat’s antics.
One comment on the post reads: “Of course it’s a Tuxie.”
Another TikTok user wrote: “I love how he sits up there not one care in the world, like it’s his personal chauffeur.”
Another person joked: “Dang I hope you got a five star rating for that Uber ride!”
While one commenter added: “That’s the most tuxedo cat thing ever.”
