‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Kevin Woo Inks With UTA

EXCLUSIVE: UTA has signed Kevin Woo, the K-pop singer-songwriter and actor who stars in Netflix’s film sensation KPop Demon Hunters, for worldwide representation in all areas.

A global smash hit animated fantasy film from directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, KPop Demon Hunters is now Netflix’s most-watched film of all time, with over 315 million views and counting, and in August became the streamer’s first film to reach No. 1 at the worldwide box office. Woo sings in the film as Mystery Saja, a member of the boy band known as The Saja Boys.

UTA also reps helmer Kang, as well as Rei Ami, who voices one of the members of the film’s fictional K-pop girl group Huntr/x. KPop Demon Hunters has introduced Woo, and the whole K-pop genre, to millions of new fans around the world. The soundtrack made U.S. chart history recently with four songs in the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, including The Saja Boys’ “Your Idol” and “Soda Pop” at No. 4 and 5, respectively.

Previously a K-pop idol in South Korea as a member of the group U-KISS, Woo starred in the cast of original Broadway musical KPOP, which debuted in 2022. Recently, he announced his first U.S. headlining show at the Troubadour in West Hollywood on November 25, with tickets on sale now.

Upcoming, Woo will be seen in Anderson .Paak’s directorial debut, K-Pops, which is slated for release in theaters in January after screening at TIFF and Tribeca. He continues to be managed by Gary Marella at Mono Music Group for music, and by Daisy Burnham at Atlas Artists for acting.
