Judi Love, Sherise Blackman & Saffron Coomber Leading Audible Comedy-Drama ‘Do Not Disturb’
EXCLUSIVE: Judi Love, Sherise Blackman and Saffron Coomber are leading Do Not Disturb, an Audible comedy-drama original dropping today.
The audio series, written and created by Blackman, follows the trio as three bold, Black, thirtysomethings from South London on a quest for good sex. Audible is billing it as a “headfirst” dive into “the chaos, comedy, and emotional messiness of modern relationships that will have you laughing, crying and cringing in equal measure.”
Supporting cast includes Richard Blackwood, Zeze Millz, David Ajala, Shiloh Coke and Martins Imhangbe.
The series will be comedian Love’s first audio drama role and a latest for Three Little Birds actress Coomber. As for Blackman, the show is her audio debut and comes after roles in the likes of Line of Duty and Bridgerton.
“I created Do Not Disturb to put female desire front and centre – then cast myself in the eye of the storm,” she said. “It’s bold, messy, and deliciously unfiltered. This is what happens when the group chat gets a mic… and I get the last word.”
