Jordan Jensen Sets Netflix Premiere Date For First Hour-Long Comedy Special ‘Take Me With You’

EXCLUSIVE: Comedian Jordan Jensen‘s first hour-long special, Take Me With You, is set to premiere on Netflix on September 9.

Directed by Eric Abrams, who’s worked on hours like Ari Shaffir: Jew and Ralph Barbosa: Cowabunga, the special highlights Jensen’s unapologetic takes on failing at femininity, the paradox that is “self love” and the horrors of trying to find it. Check out a first-look clip above.

“Being a person is humiliating and grotesque,” Jensen said in a statement on the special’s themes. “I’m not sure why we are all pretending it’s adorable or palatable in any way.”

Matt Schuler produced the special, with Alex Brizel & Brian Stern of AGI Entertainment Media & Management exec producing.

“To say that Jordan has a unique voice in comedy is almost too obvious to be worth sharing,” said Abrams, in his own statement to Deadline. “She’s honest, she’s relentless, she’s funny as f**k, and if you miss any of that you’re probably just not paying attention.”

Continued the director, “What may go under the radar is the depth of Jordan’s intelligence. She has SO much to say, and she builds her argument with the patience and guile of the finest tv courtroom drama prosecutors. But she hides her poignance under such gut-splittingly funny jokes that a lot of folks will think that she’s nothing more than the most exciting new killer on the comedy scene.”

A Brooklyn-based comic soon to be seen in Bradley Cooper’s Searchlight film Is This Thing On?, premiering at the New York Film Festival in October, Jensen started comedy in upstate New York before moving to Nashville, where she spent a year working for clubs and taking her comedy on the road in her pickup truck. Today, she headlines to sold-out rooms across the country and tours with Tom Segura and Louis C.K. Her material consists of tales of her bizarre upbringing, highly unconventional family, and filterless confessions of her time on this filthy planet.

Jensen previously put out the half-hour 30 Minutes with Jordan Jensen on YouTube, as well as the short self-produced special Death Chunk. She’s also known for co-hosting the podcast Bein’ Ian with Jordan with comedian Ian Fidance, along with her own podcast RIP Jordan Jensen, and became the first female comic to win NY’s Funniest Stand Up at the New York Comedy Festival in 2021.

Jensen is repped by AGI Entertainment Media & Management, WME, and Yorn, Levine, Barnes.
