Emily in Paris’ Camille Razat Breaks Silence on Season 5 Exit

Au revoir, Camille Razat.

Less than a week after Emily in Paris production confirmed the French actress—who played Emily’s friend-turned-nemesis also named Camille—would not be joining Lily Collins, Lucas Bravo, Ashley Park and the rest of the Netflix series’ cast for its fifth season, Razat addressed her departure.

“After an incredible journey, I’ve made the decision to step away from Emily in Paris,” she wrote in an April 23 Instagram post, alongside pictures of her and her castmates on set. “It has been a truly wonderful experience, one filled with growth, creativity, and unforgettable memories.”

The 31-year-old went on to express gratitude for Netflix, Paramount, and Emily in Paris’ creator Darren Star

“For their trust and for giving me the opportunity to bring Camille to life,” Razat emphasized, “and leaving the door open for her return, as she will always be a part of Emily In Paris world.”

And although Star previously confirmed Camille’s season four exit was set up so she could return, Razat is focusing on her production company Tazar.
