Chase Sui Wonders & Sophie Wilde Join Cory Michael Smith In Jeremy Saulnier’s A24 Thriller ‘October’
EXCLUSIVE: A24‘s October, the new genre picture from Rebel Ridge and Green Room helmer Jeremy Saulnier, has added two buzzy up-and-comers with a track record at the studio: Chase Sui Wonders (The Studio) and Sophie Wilde (Talk to Me), who will star alongside the previously announced Cory Michael Smith.
Character details are under wraps, and the film’s plot is being kept hush hush, as well. But sources have described the project as a fugitive thriller set during Halloween. Saulnier will direct from his own script, with A24 producing and financing.
Rich Peete (Neighborhood Watch), Eli Bush (Central) and Jeremy Saulnier & Skei Saulnier (Niteowl Films) will produce the horror action thriller, with Ronald Bronstein and Josh Safdie (Central), Traci Carlson and Elliott Coley (Neighborhood Watch) and Macon Blair (Bonneville Pictures) exec producing.
Currently starring alongside Seth Rogen as up-and-coming executive Quinn Hackett in the hit Apple comedy The Studio, which is currently up for 23 Emmys and is coming back for Season 2, Wonders has also recently been seen starring in Sony’s new take on I Know What You Did Last Summer. Previously appearing in A24’s Bodies Bodies Bodies and Apple/A24’s On the Rocks, she’s also been seen on shows like City on Fire, Bupkis, and Generation. Upcoming, she’ll also be seen starring alongside Olivia Wilde and Cooper Hoffman in Gregg Araki’s erotic thriller I Want Your Sex. She is represented by UTA and Sloane Offer Weber & Dern.
A BAFTA nominee best known for her breakout starring role in the A24 horror film Talk to Me, who also appeared in a supporting role in the studio’s recent erotic thriller Babygirl, Wilde will next ben seen in Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s still-untitled film for Warner Bros starring Tom Cruise, as well as New Regency’s video game adaptation Watch Dogs. She is repped by B Side Management in the UK, CAA in the U.S., IMC Talent in Australia, and Granderson Des Rochers.
