Longhorns land offensive lineman recruit

AUSTIN (KXAN) — With the high school football season around the corner, top recruits around the country are choosing their home in the class of 2026.

Friday evening, the Longhorns 2026 added offensive lineman John Turntine III, from Fort Worth, Tx.

The North Crowley lineman stands 6’3 and chose the University of Texas over Stanford, Texas A&M, and Michigan. Turntine, a four-star recruit, is now the third and highest ranked offensive lineman for the Longhorns Class of 2026 commits.

If the class stays committed going into the 2026 season, Turntine could find himself blocking for five-star quarterback Dia Bell from Florida, who committed to Steve Sarkisian and his staff in June of 2024.
