When the Nets drafted Egor Demin, there were questions about whether he would fit into how they have played. Both insist he’ll fit into how they’re going to.
Brooklyn was the lowest-scoring team in the NBA last season under first-year coach Jordi Fernández.
Yet a talent-poor Nets squad that ran pick-and-rolls infrequently and ineffectively used its lottery pick to get a pick-and-roll savant.
In essence, GM Sean Marks selecting Demin might not be so much about what the Nets offense was as about what they hope it can become.
