Missing person alert issued for San Antonio 17-year-old with 'intellectual disability'

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (KXAN) — The Texas Department of Public Safety issued an “endangered missing persons alert” for a 17-year-old boy on Saturday evening.

DPS said the San Antonio Police Department is searching for Jarred Maldonado, 17. He has a diagnosed intellectual disability, according to DPS.

Maldonado was last seen around 7 a.m. on Thursday at 9411 Military Drive W., San Antonio.

DPS said law enforcement officials believe his disappearance “poses a credible threat” to his health and safety.

Maldonado is white and has brown hair and brown eyes. He’s about 5’9″ and 125 lbs. He could possibly be carrying a Mario Brothers backpack.
