EXCLUSIVE: Ella Stiller (HBO’s The Comeback) has landed a series regular role opposite Mike Colter in Cupertino, CBS‘s new legal drama from The Good Wife creators Robert and Michelle King.
In the series created and executive produced by the Kings, which will premiere during the 2026-27 season, she’ll play Christy, a young assistant at the new start-up law firm in Cupertino that’s at the heart of the story.
Cupertino is a David vs. Goliath legal drama set in the heart of Silicon Valley that follows a lawyer (Colter) who is being cheated out of his stock-options by his former employer, a tech start-up. Refusing to back down, he joins forces with another recently fired attorney to represent those taken advantage of by the tech elite, and help them fight back in a high-stakes battle against the Goliaths controlling Silicon Valley.
Done under CBS’s long-term development model, Cupertino was originally set up for development at CBS in the summer of 2024, taking a big step forward when the Kings submitted a well-received pilot script, leading the network to commission a full writers room to produce 12 more. Coming off of Robert and Michelle King’s supernatural drama series Evil for CBS, and subsequently Paramount+, Colter came on board to star this past summer.
Cupertino will be produced by CBS Studios. Writers Robert and Michelle King will serve as co-showrunners and exec produce under their CBS Studios-based King Size Productions, with Robert King set to direct the premiere episode. Liz Glotzer is also an EP.
A recent Juilliard grad, Stiller recently wrapped on See You on the Other Side, an indie rom-com from director Ari Frenkel, where she stars alongside Judy Gold and Richard Masur. Up next, she’ll be seen in the third season of HBO’s The Comeback, starring Lisa Kudrow, as well as Bobby Farrelly’s Driver’s Ed, starring Sam Nivola. Other past credits include Happy Gilmore 2 and And Just Like That… Season 3. She is repped by Buchwald and Strand Entertainment.
