The latest episode of HBO‘s Industry reveals what Sir Henry Muck (Kit Harington) has been up to when he’s skipping wife Yasmin’s (Marisa Abela) soirees, and the answer is rather bleak.
**Spoilers for Industry Season 4 Episode 2 “The Commander and The Grey Lady,” now streaming on HBO Max**
Industry Season 4 Episode 2 “The Commander and the Grey Lady” take place during Henry Muck’s 40th birthday. It’s an extra fraught milestone because Henry’s father died by suicide on his 40th birthday. Over the course of the episode, we learn that this early loss — which a young Henry witnessed! — has shaped the aristocrat in profoundly tragic ways.
It seems that after the euphoria of his marriage to Yasmin passed, Henry fell back into his depression and fell off the wagon, indulging in booze, pills, and even heroin.
Over the course of Industry Season 4 Episode 2, Henry wrestles with his psychological demons, in the form of Jack Farthing’s “Commander,” aka the ghost of Henry’s father. Industry star Kit Harington told DECIDER that the episode was a “joy” despite its heavy subject matter.
“I think it was important as well, because it sets off in a way that we understand Henry. I think we have to understand him in order for the season to work,” Harington said. “We can’t just find him a despicable person. We have to kind of understand where he comes from, what his issues are, and what his deep trauma is.”
Harington also explained how much he appreciated the placement of this episode. “It’s nice to kind of have a grasp on a character in a lighter way from last season and then have it expanded in next season. Because you’ve got your feet on the ground, you know what you’re doing. You’re like, ‘Okay, now let’s play with it,’” Harington said.

Harington also revealed that tonight’s all-new episode of Industry includes “the most daunting scene” he’s ever done. What could be scarier than facing down White Walkers in Game of Thrones or peeing on a costar in Industry Season 3? The moment an inebriated Henry saunters into his uppity birthday dinner party.
“On paper, it said, ‘He enters high and it’s embarrassing,’” Harington said. “You know, that’s all you’re given. And you’re like, ‘Well, then, now I’m terrified. Like, what does that mean?’”
Adding to the pressure? Having to pull this moment off in front of his professional peers.
“Not only am I entering high and it’s embarrassing, but I’m doing it in front of a whole load of actors I respect immensely, including Max [Minghella], who I hadn’t really done a lot with by that point,” Harington said. “I mean, Max knows how nervous I was. Like, that bit, I found really, really terrifying.”

Just as Harington made it through the scene, Henry manages to make it out of Industry Season 4 Episode 2 alive. By the end of the episode, Henry has considered and rejected suicide, reuniting with Yasmin before driving into the unknown with her.
Henry might believe things are looking up, but Industry star Marisa Abela told DECIDER that this is the moment where Yasmin feels it’s all falling apart.
“I think that Yasmin starts to realize that her place in this marriage is just, you know, it’s not safe,” Abela said. “I think that we see the fissures really start to be apparent in Episode 2 with everything that Henry is up to.”
“You know, we think it’s going to be hopeful and then Episode 2 ends with Henry saying, ‘I think we should have children.’ And Yasmin realizes that he’s like completely delusional and out of his mind.”
So what’s next for Yasmin and Henry? Will their love survive? You’ll have to keep watching Industry Season 4 to find out.
