EXCLUSIVE: The Curious Case of…, a spinoff of one of Investigation Discovery’s biggest series of the last few years, is getting a second season.
The Warner Bros. Discovery-owned cable network will explore a slew of new crimes in the second season of the show, which is a spinoff of The Curious Case of Natalia Grace.
The eight-part series, which comes from Hot Snakes Media, will premiere on January 12.
It will include the case of Dr. Robert O. Young, who pushed an alkaline diet that left broken hearts and devastated families in his wake, the death of Olga Tsvyk from killer cheesecake, the battle between LA aesthetician Dawn DaLuise and her rival Gabriel Suarez that involved accusations she hired a hitman, the case of Dr. George Kenney, who was accused of putting a car crash victim into a hypnotic state, the case of Sarah A. Delashmit, a 35-year-old nurse from Highland, Illinois, who falsely claimed she had breast cancer and genetic disorders and Jean Steven, who keeps her dead husband and twin sister close to her.
The series is led by legal analyst and expert Beth Karas.
ID launched The Curious Case of Natalia Grace in May 2023 and followed it up with Natalia Speaks in December 2024. The network said the two series reached more than 10 million viewers across linear and streaming. The Curious Case of…, which featured cases including one involving Jackass’ Bam Margera, premiered in January.
Hot Snakes Media’s Eric and Shannon Evangelista exec produce.
“When we launched The Curious Case of Natalia Grace, we never could have imagined how that story would take the world by storm, sparking headlines everywhere and even inspiring scripted versions on other platforms. The response was overwhelming and it quickly became ID’s highest-rated series, cementing its place as a cultural phenomenon. Knowing there were so many other Curious Cases to tell, we expanded the franchise into an anthology that continued to captivate audiences and became our top-rated series of 2025. Now, with Season 2, we’re diving into even more stranger-than-fiction stories, each one a high-stakes puzzle full of twists, turns and unforgettable characters,” said Jason Sarlanis, President of ID.
