Veteran Talent Agent Dean Fluker Joins WME

EXCLUSIVE: The seasonal agency shuffle continues: Dean Fluker has joined WME as an agent in the talent department, after more than a decade at UTA, we’ve learned. He’ll work out of the agency’s Beverly Hills offices.

During his time at UTA, which he joined in 2014, Fluker worked with a large cross-section of artists ranging from established names such as Cristin Milioti, Seann William Scott, Nick Kroll and Max Greenfield to up-and-coming talent such as Daniel Ezra, Tom Rhys Harries, Nicholas Duvernay, and Ryan Destiny. He also served as co-chair for UTA Unity, the agency’s employee inclusion group.

Prior to his time at UTA, Fluker was a trainee at ICM Partners and an agent at Jeff Berg’s Resolution. He began his professional career in politics as a Field Organizer and Youth Vote Director on the 2008 presidential campaign for then-Senator Barack Obama, ultimately joining the Obama Administration as a political appointee in 2009, where he served for three years.

Outside of his work in entertainment, Fluker serves on the board of Heart of Los Angeles, which provides underserved kids with an equal chance to succeed, delivering a comprehensive array of after-school academic, arts, athletics, music, and wellness programs for youth ages 6-24.

Fluker is just the latest veteran agent to come over to WME, on the heels of Matt Martin, Trevor Astbury and Adam Schweitzer, who as we told you first last week, have joined from CAA. Prior to that, Kristen Konvitz joined as a WME Independent film finance and packaging agent in September.
