At least 5 Austin school district employees detained by ICE, according to union
Trasell Underwood, Education Austin’s vice president, told KXAN on Thursday that during a monthly meeting with the district, AISD leaders said they were aware that ICE had detained five employees in total, including a food service worker and at least one classroom teacher.
