Big WWE Raw names advertised for Friday Night SmackDown

Two notable stars on “WWE Raw” have been advertised for a match on “Friday Night SmackDown.” The official website of Delta Center, the venue for this Friday’s episode of “SmackDown,” has revealed a match between LA Knight and JD McDonagh. Since both Knight and McDonagh are “Monday Night Raw” stars, their singles match most likely won’t be televised.
WWE is making its final push before “Saturday Night’s Main Event,” which will feature four professional wrestling championship matches. That includes the vacant World Heavyweight Championship match between CM Punk and Jey Uso. Knight had his chance to be a part of the match, but he fell short in a triple threat No. 1 contender match and followed that up by being eliminated in a last chance battle royal.

LA Knight and JD McDonagh on WWE Raw
Knight has had some run-ins with McDonagh and The Judgment Day, but his main focus has been on The Vision. Knight hasn’t had luck on his side during recent episodes of the red brand. He was pinned by Bron Breakker this past Monday on “WWE Raw.” Knight hasn’t scored a win on WWE TV since the Oct. 6 episode of “WWE Raw,” when he teamed with Punk to defeat The Usos.
As for McDonagh, he scored a big singles win over former multi-time world champion Sheamus. McDonagh had some help from Finn Balor, who hit Sheamus with a shillelagh when the referee was distracted. Balor and McDonagh will get a WWE World Tag Team Championship rematch against AJ Styles and Dragon Lee on the Nov. 3 episode of “Monday Night Raw.”
