Update on WWE SmackDown talent’s serious injury

[ad_1]

An update has surfaced on a “WWE SmackDown” star who is dealing with a potentially career-threatening injury. PWInsider‘s Mike Johnson reports that both WWE and Niven are taking a measured approach in terms of what course of action to take next. Niven is dealing with significant neck problems that some are worried could end her professional wrestling career prematurely.

The report noted that determining treatment isn’t a simple task. Kevin Owens also has neck problems that kept him off “WrestleMania 41,” and he needed to wait several months before he could undergo surgery, as doctors needed things to clear up before giving a diagnosis.

Piper Niven’s Role in Secret Hervice

Niven had been featured regularly on the “Friday Night SmackDown” brand as a member of Chelsea Green’s Secret Hervice faction. Niven served as Green’s bodyguard, and the two were later joined by Alba Fyre. Back in September, Niven was pulled from the road schedule once her neck issues were discovered.

Niven’s last match took place during the Aug. 22 episode of “WWE SmackDown.” She pinned Charlotte Flair thanks to interference from Green. In later episodes of the blue brand, Green explained that Niven’s absence was due to her being on assignment. Green has searched for new members of her stable in recent weeks, but no one has accepted the position.

Thus far in her WWE career, Niven has won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Green. She’s also a former two-time WWE 24/7 Champion. Prior to her WWE run, Niven captured gold under the Stardom banner in Japan. She is a former SWA World Champion and a former Artist of Stardom champion with Hazuki and Io Shirai, known as Iyo Sky in WWE.
