EXCLUSIVE: Oscar nominee Greg Kinnear (As Good As It Gets) and Skyfall star Bérénice Marlohe have joined William H. Macy, Nolan Gerard Funk, and Meadow Williams in the cast of the Untitled Eternity Project, which is currently filming in Europe.
For Marlohe the project marks a screen comeback after a six-year hiatus.
Set against the backdrop of the Mediterranean at the height of summer, the erotic thriller follows Calvin Wells (Funk), a charismatic conman who sets his sights on Katrine Winters (Williams), a mysterious billionaire widow. Drawn in by her fortune and allure, Calvin accepts an invitation aboard her superyacht Eternity, only to realize her glamorous world hides sinister secrets.
Kinnear joins as Karl Munroe, an old confidante from Winters’ past whose sudden reappearance threatens to unravel the world she has built aboard her superyacht. Marlohe will play Lady Veronique, “a beautiful and sophisticated woman whose romantic entanglement with Luca quietly sets the stage for Calvin’s collision with Katrine”.
Jamie Marshall directs. The film is produced by Meadow Williams under her Diamond Film Productions banner, with Jeanette Volturno (CatchLight Studios) and Jon Mason (JMason Entertainment). Production is currently underway in Italy and Greece.
Little Miss Sunshine star Kinnear can currently be seen in Apple series Smoke with Taron Egerton and Jurnee Smollett while he recently wrapped David E. Kelley’s Apple and A24 drama Margo’s Got Money Troubles with Michelle Pfeiffer, Elle Fanning and Nicole Kidman.
For French actress Marlohe, the project will mark a first screen role in more than six years. Her last film or TV project was Lech Majewski’s 2019 adventure sci-fi movie Valley Of The Gods with Josh Hartnett. She is best known for playing Bond girl Sévérine in Skyfall.
Kinnear is repped by CAA and Goodman, Genow. Marlohe is repped by Buchwald and Gang, Tyre.
