Instant Analysis: Manning struggles, Baxter's injury timeline unknown

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Texas quarterback Arch Manning struggled mightily all game long against UTEP, and while the rushing attack took center stage in the win, it came at a cost.

With Quintrevion Wisner out with a leg injury the past two weeks, running back CJ Baxter injured his hamstring on the first play of the game and didn’t return. Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian said after the game that he didn’t know the severity of Baxter’s injury, but the Longhorns could be down both of their lead runners for the final nonconference game Sept. 20 against Sam Houston State.

Roger Wallace and LeVon Whittaker discussed Manning’s issues throwing the ball, the state of the Longhorns’ backfield and other interesting aspects of the Longhorns’ 27-10 victory over the Miners in this installment of Instant Analysis.
