PHOTOS: UT cooks up new menu items for football season, including a tomahawk steak

AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Wednesday, the University of Texas’ culinary team previewed new menu items available to fans for 2025 Texas Longhorns home games.

The menu items included:

  • Marinated Beef Tomahawk
  • Korean Brisket Mac & Cheese
  • Sweet Tea Brined Chicken
  • 1883 Mac & Cheese
  • Smoked Brisken Queso Fondue
  • Buffalo Chicken Lollypops
  • Pork Burnt Ends
  • Brisket Chunks
  • House Smoked Duck
  • Flaming Oysters

These food options were showcased at a media event on campus on Wednesday night, and not every food item listed above will be available to every fan in the stadium.

The event featured food truck options, stadium concessions and “premium suite-style tastings,” a press release said.

In addition, UT said each football game will have a celebrity guest chef who will showcase their signature dishes.

“All the amazing stuff we’ve got coming this season. We’ve got so much amazing food, so many items. All the chefs have contributed something amazing, I think it’s really going to be special and I can’t wait for everybody to try it,” Chef Aaron May said.

The first home game is set for Sept. 6 when Texas hosts San Jose State at 11 a.m.
