Zero Gravity Management Hires David Romero, Suchir Batra & Tamer Ahsan
EXCLUSIVE: Zero Gravity has made three additions to its roster of managers: David Romero, Suchir Batra and Tamer Ahsan.
Romero joins after nearly a decade at CAA, where as a Scripted and Global Television Agent, he represented an array of high-profile showrunners, writers, directors, filmmakers, and producers across both domestic and international markets. He began his entertainment career at The Shuman Company, working prior to that as a Research Scientist specializing in molecular and computational genetics. A first-generation college graduate, he holds multiple degrees in Neuroscience as well as a degree in Business Cinematic Arts from USC.
A Los Angeles-based manager with extensive experience in the Indian media and entertainment industry, Batra primarily reps writers, directors, producers and showrunners. Most recently, he was an agent in the Global Group at CAA, helping to build the agency’s business in and with India. Prior to that, he launched the Los Angeles office of Mumbai-based talent management company Tulsea. Batra began his entertainment career in the William Morris Agency mailroom in Beverly Hills and was soon promoted to agent before relocating to WMA’s London office for two years. Thereafter, he was an associate in the Entertainment Practice Group at Greenberg Traurig in Los Angeles. He later joined Fullscreen’s business and legal affairs division and subsequently became a Business Affairs Executive at William Morris Endeavor. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics / International Area Studies from UCLA and his J.D. from Cornell Law School.
Bringing 15 years of experience on the agency side, Ahsan began his career in 2010 in the mailroom at APA (now IAG), quickly rising through the ranks before joining boutique talent agency Pakula/King & Associates in 2015. After five years there, he’s spent the last three years as VP of Talent at CESD Talent Agency. He received his Master’s Degree in Sports & Entertainment Business Management from The University of Texas.
Founded by Eric and Mark Williams, who respectively oversee the management and production divisions, Zero Gravity Management reps a diverse rosters of actors, writers, directors and producers working in film and television. The company is responsible for films like Beasts of No Nation, as well as such acclaimed series as Ozark and Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker. Most recently, they partnered with Stage 32 to launch a screenwriting incubator focused on artists active in the action and thriller space, as we reported first in July.
