Nets sign big man David Muoka to add to training camp competition

The Nets added to their big man competition at training camp by signing David Muoka on Monday.
The news was first reported by Spotrac, and confirmed by The Post.
The 6-foot-10, 235-pound Muoka is a traditional big.

He was inked to a non-guaranteed standard contract.
Muoka, who is from Hong Kong, will travel with the Nets when they play two preseason games in nearby Macao next month. Brooklyn will face the Phoenix Suns on Oct. 10 and 12.
After going undrafted out of UNLV, Muoka eventually played 38 games with the Long Island Nets in 2023-24. Going with Brooklyn to the Las Vegas Summer League a year ago was a brief homecoming of sorts.
Now he’ll essentially have another when Muoka goes to Macao, separated from Hong Kong by a bridge or a short ferry ride.
With a numbers crunch in training camp, the 24-year-old Muoka could have an uphill climb to make the Opening Night roster, but could easily earn a spot back with G League Long Island.

Brooklyn is also expected to sign forward Fanbo Zeng, one of the more promising young members of the Chinese National Team.
